DESCRIPTION:
This fault code sets when the Aftertreatment Control Module (ACM) detects a momentary abnormal Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) inlet temperature reading.
MONITORED PARAMETER:
Selective Catalyst Reduction Inlet Temperature sensor.
TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Non-Regen Mode
MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None
EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Continuous when enabling conditions met.
TYPICAL DURATION:
Two seconds
DASH LAMPS:
1. MIL
2. CEL
ENGINE REACTION:
None
VERIFICATION:
SCR efficiency test.
NOTE: This fault indicates that the ACM has detected a sudden temperature switch on the SCR outlet temperature sensor. Most likely cause is wiring failure.
NOTE: If codes 4360-3 or 4360-4 are active, fix those first.
PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Check all SCR sensor wiring for looseness, breaks, rubs, etc…
2. SCR outlet temperature sensor failure.
