VOLVOUU Engine D13F Fault Code: PID 175 FMI 0 Engine Oil Temperature

SHOP TALK CONTAINS CRITERIA FOR THE FOLLOWING:
1. Engine oil temperature is above 125?C (257?F)
2. Engine oil temperature is above 128?C (262?F)

ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE IS ABOVE 125?C (257?F)
CONTROL UNIT:
Engine ECU

DETECTION CONDITIONS:
The engine control unit (E-ECU) registers that the engine oil temperature is above 125?C (257?F).

SYMPTOM:
Low power because of engine protection.

POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1. Extreme running conditions.
2. Defective thermostat.
3. Low engine oil level.
4. Defective engine oil temperature sensor.
5. Clogged oil cooler.
6. Defective oil thermostat valve.
7. Coolant system.
