VOLVOUU All Engines (2017 Emissions) Fault Code: P25A912 PID: EMS Piston Cooling Oil Control

Circuit description
The engine piston cooling oil supply valve is located in the oil filter housing and is used to control the piston cooling oil pressure. The engine control module (ECM) controls the valve by monitoring the signal from the piston cooling oil pressure sensor. If an electrical fault is detected inside the valve it will be fully open (fail safe).

Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC)
Output activated
Short circuit to battery voltage – A14.EB:41

Diagnostic operating conditions
Ignition key in ON position

Observable symptoms
Low oil pressure at low engine speed

Probable cause
1) Short circuit to voltage supply, control wire
2) Short circuit in control valve
