PACCAR MX (2004 Emissions) Fault Code: P2530 Engine Run Time – Data Erratic, Intermittent or Incorrect

SET CONDITIONS:
The PCI ECU detects that the engine run timer is unlikely.

DIAGNOSTIC CONDITION:
This diagnostic runs when:
1. The engine is running and
2. The vehicle speed transits from 30 to 50 km/h [18 to 31 mph]

CORRESPONDING OBD READINESS MONITOR:
None

RESET CONDITION:
This DTC changes to INACTIVE if the fault is no longer detected after a key cycle.

REPAIR VERIFICATION:
1. Clear all DTCs.
2. Test drive or operate the vehicle to meet the diagnostic conditions and set conditions.
3. Did the DTC come back? (Can be pending, inactive or active)
– No, repair successful
– Yes, repair unsuccessful

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
For this diagnostics, a vehicle speed transition is used to check if the engine run timer of the PCI ECU is likely.
