The fault code sets when the motor control module (MCM) detects that the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve position is incorrect when the ambient temperature is below 2°C (35°F).

1. If any voltage codes exist, fix those first.
2. EGR valve actuator pull rod.

5. Wiring between the EGR actuator harness and the ECM.
6. ECM failure.
